YWCA Canberra is a trusted registered community housing provider, supporting Canberrans for more than 60 years with transitional housing, affordable housing and supportive tenancy services. Rentwell is their property management service that provides affordable rental properties owned by private investors to people on modest incomes. Having an affordable, appropriate and secure place to call home is a fundamental human right and YWCA Canberra believes that all Canberrans should have quality, affordable and secure housing options.

HomeGround Real Estate Canberra is a not-for-profit real estate agency that provides professional property management services and also offers a pathway for philanthropically-minded landlords to help grow the supply of affordable rental homes. The need has never been greater in Canberra, now the most expensive city in Australia. This has left half of lower income households in the private rental market in a state of housing stress. Households and families are increasingly being priced out of the private rental market, with limited or no options.

OzHarvest

From humble beginnings in 2004, OzHarvest has become a leading food rescue organisation on a mission to ‘Nourish our Country’ by stopping good food from going to waste and delivering it to charities that help feed people in need.

Their yellow vans are out and about in communities every day, collecting quality surplus food from a network of donors, including supermarkets, cafes, delis, restaurants, corporate kitchens, airlines, hotels and other food businesses.

Today, OzHarvest operates nationally with offices in Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns, Melbourne, Newcastle and Perth, and through a team of passionate volunteers in regional communities.
