Open from 7 am during the week and from 9 am on weekends, the Wright Road Dog Park in Stirling has agility equipment and a separate area for puppies. Gates close at sunset.
North-east of the city in Campbelltown, Four Paws Park is a haven for pups and their owners. A fenced area allows your pet to run and play safely; benches and trees provide shade while you watch your dog play. There’s even a drinking fountain for dogs!
Ngampa Yerta is one of the parks surrounding the Adelaide CBD. Located between Robe Terrace and Medinidie Road, you’ll find a separate space for small dogs and an area for all the dogs to play together. Bag dispensers are provided, so remember to clean up your dog’s mess.
Hazelmere Reserve off Oaklands Road in Glengowrie is a popular spot for dog owners. With playground facilities, a BBQ and an off-leash area, you can bring the whole family – including Rex – and enjoy a whole day here.
Mitcham Council recently built a fully enclosed dog park at CC Hood Reserve, Panorama. It’s got everything you need to ensure your dog gets dog exercise: there are pipes, rails and posts for your dog to play in and around, as well as shelters and water.
Minkarra Dog Park on Manning Road in Flagstaff Hill provides an open and safe area for dogs. Just down the road in Morphettville is Wilfred Reserve, another dog-friendly area with agility equipment, seating and pathways so that everyone can enjoy the great outdoors with their furry friend in tow.
