Eric Weber, Matt’s grandfather, founded the iconic residential real estate agency Eric Weber & Co in East Melbourne in the 1930s, which after 60 years was sold in 1988, trading to this day as Carmichael Weber. In a 40 year career with Eric Weber & Co. Matt’s father John Nichols established himself as a celebrated auctioneer, was president of the REIV and founder of the REIV Auction School.
