Nestle's, the only Coffee factory they own in Australia has recently completed a massive expansion in Gympie & is expanding its already large workforce. Historically Gympie has been a large dairying area & that industry is now emerging from the traumas of deregulation.

At the Gold Mining Museum, displays covering the gold rush days are mingled with exhibits such as the Lighthorse Museum and Andrew Fisher House to provide an outstanding range of cultural as well as historical exhibits.
