Growing up with an architect father who had his own building company gave Frank a sound knowledge of building and design. Frank gained his licence in 1974 and quickly added auctioneer and stock and station agent to his credentials. In 1986, having passed the prescribed examination and possessing the necessary qualifications, he was awarded the diploma of Associate of the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA).
