Geoff came to Fitzpatricks after 10 years owner /operator of Kooringal Newsagency with his wife Rachelle. Faced with declining newspaper and magazine sales and the desire to pursue another career he made the step out of the business in February 2013.
Very much a Wagga boy, Geoff grew up on a wheat and sheep farming property between Coolamon and Marrar. After attending boarding school in Bathurst he returned to Wagga to complete a business degree at Charles Sturt University in Wagga in the early 90's. Geoff worked for around four years with Rydges Hotel and Resorts in Canberra, then moved to Albury and with a group of Wagga investors and purchased The New Albury Hotel better known as Paddys Irish Bar. After leaving Albury upon the sale of the hotel, he returned to Charles Sturt University to work in their finance section for twelve months before purchasing Kooringal Newsagency. Small business has been in his blood for many years, with his parents involved in a number of local businesses.
Geoff has two beautiful boys who are his inspiration each and every day. Outside of work, Geoff enjoys football, cycling, running and swimming. After competing in a number of triathlons over the last few years, Geoff will undertake his first ironman event in May.
Geoff has found his transition to the Fitzpatricks Commercial team very enjoyable and looks forward to building and maintaining multiple relationships within Wagga's business community.
