Office Profile
Located on the corner of Holtermann and Alexander Streets,
McGrath Crows Nest is home to an energetic and dedicated team of Lower North
Shore specialists. Renowned for our boutique style of service and consistently
strong results, we sell and lease a full range of homes in Crows Nest,
Naremburn, St Leonards, Greenwich, Wollstonecraft and surrounds.
Area Profile
Sydney’s Lower North Shore is an aspirational area offering an
enviable lifestyle with its café villages, safe tree-lined streets and
convenience to the CBD. Bordering Sydney Harbour, it is hard to believe this
quiet district is just a 10 minute commute to the city via car, bus or train.
Our selling area represents a collection of unique villages. From the buzzy
Crows Nest and St Leonards to the quiet hamlets of Artarmon and Naremburn – all
just a stone’s throw from the Chatswood restaurant and shopping precinct and
the boutique providores of Cammeray Square. Each of our suburbs has a charming
individual personality.
Our area offers a broad range of residential housing, including renovated
workers’ cottages, freestanding Federation homes, Californian Bungalows,
waterside estates, townhouses and landmark executive apartment buildings such
as Forum and Abode at St Leonards.
The region attracts a large mix of residents, including families, executive
couples, empty-nesters and young renters. Investors love buying here due to the
strong yields, low vacancy rates and continuing capital growth.
The area has a large variety of high quality public and private schools as well
as the Northern Sydney Institute of TAFE. It is home to several of Sydney’s
finest hospitals, including Royal North Shore at St Leonards and The Mater at
Crows Nest.
There are many bush and harbourside walking tracks and gorgeous parks including
Shell Park at Greenwich; Berry Island Reserve and Brennan Park at
Wollstonecraft; and Naremburn Park. Recreational facilities include Willoughby
Leisure Centre; Greenwich Flying Squadron; Greenwich Sports Club; and Sydney’s
largest indoor climbing centre at St Leonards.
Rich in history, our area received the North Shore’s first railway station at
St Leonards in 1890. Crows Nest was the name of Edward Wollstonecraft’s house,
which he built in the 1800s at the highest point of his 500 acre grant to
capture the best harbour views.
