Holiday home rental site Stayz, have just announced nine properties as the winners of the annual Stayz 2017 Holiday Rental Awards (HRA).
More than 40,000 Stayz properties across 2000 locations were in contention at this year’s awards, judged by a panel of industry experts.
The most awarded property was Clifftop at Hepburn – an architect-designed retreat just outside Daylesford, Victoria – which took out both the “Romantic” and “People’s Choice” categories. This property was a previous recipient of the “Interior Design” category at the 2016 awards.
“We’re thrilled to have had such a diverse selection of properties in this year’s Holiday Rental Awards and extend our warm congratulations to all of the category winners,” says Stayz spokeswoman Simone McDermid.
“The awards are designed to celebrate Australia’s most impressive homes and we feel this year’s winners really offer a snapshot of the breadth of properties available on Stayz.”
Now in its sixth year, this year’s awards saw a shift from the typical beachside holiday homes, with all except one on a small acreage or in a regional area.
Among the homes honoured were a converted church, luxury resort-style property for 10, farmhouses and cottages overlooking vineyards.
“The traditional Aussie holiday rental is no longer your beachside shack, although still popular,” McDermid says.
“We hope these award-winning rentals across the country inspire and excite those planning their next trip, whether it be escaping the city for a rural escape or going coastal for a family beach holiday. We have options to suit all budgets and group sizes.”
