It was main bathroom week on The Block last week and renovating novices Hans and Courtney stole the win, thanks to some carefully placed terrazzo tiles and sprinklings of greenery.
Neale Whitaker commended the couple on their “contemporary take on the original heritage of the building”, Shaynna Blaze thought the room “oozed personality” and Darren Palmer considered the design a “real success”.

So, what better way to celebrate the end of main bathroom week than by rummaging through the most beautiful bathrooms ever produced on The Block?
Last year’s Block winners proved themselves to be early favourites with their very first bathroom. Making a circular bath the standout fixture of the room, the couple’s use of skylights made the dark decor feel light, winning them their very first room on the show.

Carleen and Dan’s modern art deco main bathroom in season 12 of the show saw them boast an early win. The handmade walnut vanity was a key feature of the room, celebrating clean lines and simple styling.

It was a bathroom all about “glamour” according to judge Neale Whitaker at the time, and it nabbed Block veterans Dea and Darren an early win in season 10 of the show. They weren’t awarded a perfect score, but it still stands as one of the most striking bathrooms ever created on the series.

It was just week two of season nine when Chris and Jenna nabbed a perfect score for their moody decor and under-floor heating in their main bathroom. Even Scott Cam commended the couple on an “outstanding job” at the time.

Kyle and Kara invested in a $6000 egg-shaped bath in season eight of the show and it more than paid off, with the couple scoring perfect 10s for the room. The room was specifically designed for the bather to sit in the hero bath and gaze out at the city.
