Designers continue to be inspired by the warmth of timber, and the results are easy to admire.

From an exercise space in Sydney’s east to a masterfully-crafted table, these pieces reveal the true beauty of wooden tones.

The Shelter

It’s little wonder why this sanctuary in Sydney’s Double Bay claimed the Belle Coco Republic Interior Design Award for Best Commercial Interior this year.

Designed by Anna Trefely of Esoteriko, The Shelter is a light-filled, spa-like space with gym functionality.

Bow Chair

Named for its slender arching backrest, the Bow Chair, designed by Tom Fereday and available at Local Design, highlights the elegant, natural grain of shaped timber.
