More than good looks: Four furniture and lighting pieces that are as practical as they are beautiful

The Ridge Collection

Created by Beeline Design, the Ridge Collection features furniture with gentle corrugated curves, covered in soft Australian leather and paired with solid timber or stone.

The range was inspired by the childhood of cabinetmaker Adam Brislin, who grew up surrounded by farm land dotted with traditional corrugated iron sheds. 

Blossom Pendants

Dowel Jones has launched a new pendant light, Blossom, using a soft, arched base, repeated across six separate leaf pieces resulting in the appearance of blossoming flower petals.

Available in two polytec finishes, the pendant comes in either Coastal Oak or Bottega Oak.

Grain Cut Side Table by Wittmann

Designed by Jaime Hayon and available from Domo, the Grain Cut Side Table is made from a solid block of wood, and is both a table and a sculpture.

As a table, the flexible handles provides convenience, and as a sculpture, its distinct design simply demands attention. 

Kelly Easy Chair by Tacchini

Designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune, the Kelly Easy Chair showcases an organic and playful shape, featuring a soft, rounded seat and back.

Supported by a sleek metal frame, the chair is available from Stylecraft in various colours, including black, green, and yellow – just to name a few.
