Great design is something to be revered, when makers aren’t afraid to put the fun in their creations, minds can be blown.

Unexpected colour palettes and fresh design attitudes have put these four pieces at the centre of our attention this week.

Peaches Bar

Design studio Pierce Widera is the name behind this bar in Swanston Street in Melbourne’s CBD.

Much like a colourful cocktail, the pastel-toned bar features circular pendants, upholstered booths in textured blush fabric and candy-coloured terrazzo table tops.

Terrazzo Curve Table

Studio Mignone‘s Curve Collection presents a soft-edged coffee table, with both pillars and table top featuring a rounded profile.

The legs of this sculptural piece come with the options of all terrazzo construction or terrazzo and coloured concrete and is topped with a thick, pill-shaped pane of tempered glass.

Face To Face Lounge

First designed by Gordon Guillaumier in 2017, the Face to Face Lounge has now been reinterpreted by Tacchini, honouring the original design’s intention to create a space for one-to-one connections.

To achieve this, two backrests mirror each other, while soft feather cushions provide comfort. The lounge is available from StyleCraft.

Code Zero Wall Sconce

The Code lighting collection by Nightworks Studio features a selection of modular lighting designs, drawn from the dots and dashes of Morse code.

Including the Code Zero Wall Sconce, along with a variety of pendant light options, each arrangement in the collection is made from hand-blown glass and solid brass.
