Pinecone treehouse for sale is the ultimate nature escape

Who said treehouses were for children?

We’ve shown plenty of cool treehouses for adults, but this fully glazed pinecone treehouse is particularly special, because you can’t get closer to nature than this.

O2Treehouse, a company that has built dozens of different treehouses around the world, has listed the Pinecone Treehouse in Oakland, California for sale.

As with all treehouses, the Pinecone was designed to provide a full immersion with nature – there are 64 diamond-shaped windows opening up views of the tree canopy and the sky.

O2Treehouse founder Dustin Feider says: “When in a tree everything in the world is right; a calmness comes that brings with it creativity, imagination and play.”

The geodesic pinecone-shaped, 9.4 square-metre treehouse was built earlier this year in a redwood forest, and is accessed by a very long ladder – you wouldn’t want to be afraid of heights.

A separate bathroom cabin is reached via a bridge at a lower level. Here, you can shower with another stunning view of the redwood forest.

The sale price is around US$150,000 (AUD$209,000), but that doesn’t include installation on your own property.
