To mark the unveiling of the third and final bedrooms on the Blocktagon, we look back on some of the best Block bedrooms of all time. They inspired us to renovate and decorate our own spaces, but how have they stood the test of time? And what, if any, style features would you still like to steal today?
Max and Karstan delivered this stunningly fresh master bedroom and were commended for their impressive walk-in robe, which the judges described as “finessed”.
Style steal: The featured art on the wall.
The judges were impressed with the clever use of space in this bedroom, which allowed the couple to include a king-sized bed. Michael and Carlene chose a bold and bright look within this space, and the painted exposed brick wall provided great texture.
Style steal: The hanging chair in the corner.
Competing during a Triple Threat challenge, previous contestants were given the chance to present the best bedroom for the last spot to take part in the new Triple Threat series. The winning bedroom was awarded to Darren and Dea with the judges fawning over the “seamlessly sophisticated” space.
Style steal: The pastel bed cushions.
Another dynamic duo who competed for a spot on the Triple Threat series was Bec and George. Although this room did not secure the couple a win, we still love the balanced layers and textures, as well as the custom-made furniture throughout.
Style steal: The recessed artwork on the wall.
The third couple to play for a spot on the Triple Threat series should have won, according to fans who took to social media to vent as the episode aired. The New York-style room is certainly elegant and romantic and was described by the judges as “a nice assault on the senses”… which, is a good thing, we think?
Style steal: The Moroccan-style rug and French-influence mirror.
Past winners from The Block Sky High, Alisa and Lysandra, delivered this stunning New York-style guest bedroom during the Fans v Faves season. The industrial elements within this room, coupled with the smart styling choices, create a very cool and contemporary look.
Style steal: The twin-level desk/wardrobe corner.
“This is awesome!” the judges exclaimed when they walked into this bedroom. ‘Luxurious’, ‘unique’ and ‘James Bond-esque’ were other adjectives used to describe the space – and rightly so. The sheer luxury of this room has us falling in love all over again.
Style steal: That bedroom bathtub.
The judges were awed by the colours and space in Shannon and Simon’s master bedroom and, quite frankly, so are we. From the mood created by the lounge living space, to the timber window bench, we think it’s pretty spot on.
Style steal: That Icelandic Dream bed head.
