Charming Street has become a hive of activity as teams race to finish their studio bedroom in a short work week.
So a visit from Shelley Craft and Scotty Cam was just what the Blockheads needed… especially when they had a huge announcement to make!
During Episode 8 the duo completed their second walk-around of the series and dropped some major news about a prize upgrade in the process.
Not only would the winning team nab the $10,000 prize money from Ford, but they’d also get a $20,000 Kinsman wardrobe upgrade and a $20,000 bag from Shelley. Wild!
First stop on the agenda was House 1’s Kyle and Leslie.
After their exciting win for their “curvealicious” studio bathroom, the team were ready to tackle their next big space.
Literally. They’re building the biggest space on the Block this week.
The team were elated to hear about the potential $30,000 takeaway, before Shelley showed off the jaw-dropping “Grace Kelly” handbag in her hands.
After making the couple guess how much it was worth, Shelley confirmed: “$20,000 right here in my hot little hand!
“That could be sitting inside your upgraded Kinsman wardrobe when you go to auction! So what are you doing to win $50,000 this week?”
Talk about high stakes!
Over at House 2, Leah and Ash went over their design plans.
A smart bed, two chairs, a coffee table, a lamp and two ottomans – it was a lot for Scott and Shelley to take in.
Scott and Shelley then zipped off to House 3, where they got the run-down on Kristy and Brett’s secret weapon this week, their stairway skylights.
“Beautiful,” said Scott.
“I think that’s gorgeous,” added Shelley.
Sounds like a winning idea!
Shelley was showered with compliments from Eliza and Liberty in House 5. But the flattery soon stopped there.
“You girls looks a little big disheveled,” Scott admitted.
“That’s just a trend for us,” replied Eliza.
Scotty then hinted they might have an unsuspecting visitor in the near future.
“My wife’s here visiting me from Sydney,” Scott revealed.
“I’ve had to distract her because she’s on the war path looking for the two girls that are chasing my sons,” he smiled.
Yep, on Day 1 Eliza and Liberty asked if Scott’s sons were single.
Shelley had an idea: “I reckon we bring her in, they can do a little interview,” she said.
It sounded like Eliza was on board.
“I feel like if she meets us, she’ll change her mind,” Eliza grinned.
Saving House 4 to last, Scott and Shelley wanted to check in on the couple who had been together since age thirteen – but faced a very, very hard week.
“Is everything alright?” Scott asked Steph and Gian.
“I would hate for you to break up over The Block.”
But Steph reassured him.
“We had a really tough week, but we’re happier, ready, and our head’s in the Block bubble now,” she said.
