What made you apply for The Block?

We wanted a challenge and a break from the everyday.

Is this your first time renovating?

No, we have built one house and renovated another house since we have been together. Spence built and renovated a few places before we met in 2010.

What room are you excited about renovating?

Spence is looking forward to the lounge and dining room, as he would really like to do a coffered ceiling in that space.

Which room terrifies you?

The lounge and dining room!

How would you describe your interior style?

We don’t have a particular style; just whatever suits the space. But we do like it bright and uncluttered, with lots of natural timber, stone and glass.

What is your secret weapon?

We don’t have one!

Which Block judge is your favourite?

We love them all equally. They are all very nice people when you get to meet them in person.

Which previous Blockheads are you drawing inspiration from?

We loved watching Josh and Elyse, they got on with the job and cared about the quality of their work.

What surprised you most about being on the show, as opposed to watching it?

We were surprised to find out what goes on behind the scenes. We thought we were just coming on the show to renovate a building.
