Another Sunday Room Reveals has passed on The Block, which means it’s time for another no holds barred Open for Inspections!
Yep, our teams were given the chance to take a peek at their rivals’ houses following a tense Studio Bedroom Week.
Steph and Gian came out on top for their lavish space, but other teams received some harsh criticism from the judges – particularly new judge on The Block, Marty Fox.
Up first was the winning room in House 4, and it’s fair to say everyone had similar views.
“Love all the colours. Very earthy, she’s done a real earthy style.” Leah said, while Kyle gushed: “That fireplace is awesome, isn’t it?”
The same could be said for Kyle and Leslie’s space, which did receive some heavy criticism after they chose to do a Pilates studio in the back instead of a kitchenette.
“Are we allowed to take photos? Obviously I’m not going to copy stuff. but they did say we had to take note of the styling…” Eliza gushed.
“I’m about this room, man,” a stoic Brett announced as he walked in.
Perhaps the most criticised room was Eliza and Liberty’s, with Shaynna saying some aspects felt like a “cheap motel” while Marty scathed, “I think the styling is so bad that had it been empty, I would have been happier.”
When Leah and Ash entered the room, she had a lot to say on the matter.
“I personally think that comment of delivering an empty room was so unbelievably harsh, yet we still came last,” she said.
Both Leah and Ash and Kristy and Brett came joint last with 21 points, while Eliza and Liberty received 21.5.
“I’m not understanding it. What have we done that’s so, so bad?” Leah fumed.
When the teams walked into Kristy and Brett’s room in House 3, Leslie couldn’t help but joke, “Smells like a losing room.”
