An Aussie businessman is selling his $30 million penthouse with a custom sneaker wall, shooting for a record price.
The astonishing apartment on the Gold Coast is a mansion in the sky, with a pool in the clouds and endless blue views of the ocean.
Simon Beard, founder of streetwear company Culture Kings and now a business coach, took his 57,1000 Instagram fans on a tour of the Surfers Paradise property which he says he’s lived in for two years.
He showed fans around, level by level, including the pool and spa on the 73rd storey, which he says is likely the highest residential pool in Australia.
Agent Emil Juresic, principal of NGU Real Estate, is looking after the campaign.
Named Altitude, the four-level, five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home has its own Instagram account – @altitude.soul
Beard’s video is captioned: “Kicking off my real estate career haha. Living in this palace in the sky for two years, I needed to do the tour myself.”
He explains that he is selling it fully furnished, so that all the buyer doesn’t even need to bring a towel or bed linen. “You just rock up with your suitcases, and this is yours,” he says.
“Over 1000 square metres, this is such a unique Gold Coast property and will be Queensland’s most expensive penthouse”.
Sneakers not included.
Beard says living this high is like “being in heaven”, with all of the sparkle and none of the noise of Surfers far down below. The only din is the soft rhythm of waves, which you can watch from the all vantage points, including bed, bath and beyond.
“They will never rebuild it like this again and you can see just the euphoric feeling of standing right here. You are literally on top of the beach, can see the actual curvature of the earth,” he says, gesturing to the golden sand, vast sapphire ocean and breaking waves from the deep, wraparound balcony.
The home’s deluxe bar has views up the beach, and closes off to ensure peace and quiet in the rest of a home during a party. For fitness fanatics is rooftop gym orientated to capture the sunrise as you work through reps.
The main bedroom and dual en suites, with a central deep soaking tub.
At its asking price, Altitude will easily trump the $24 million penthouse sale in late 2023 that holds the Queensland record.
The larger-than-average address in a luxury Gold Coast development, named Glasshouse, broke the previous Queensland apartment price record – set in early 2022 by another penthouse in the same swish complex – by $4 million.
Agent Amir Mian of Amir Prestige did the $24 million deal, representing the developer Spyre. It is yet to be built.
A showpiece is the main bedroom with 11-metre water frontage. The home also has as a private pool and is akin to a beach house in the sky.
