A tri-level home on the harbour in Sydney’s Watsons Bay is surrounded by trophy real estate and carries price hopes of $50 million.
The asking price for 32A Pacific Street is not disclosed on the listing. However, Steven Zoellner of Laing+Simmons Double Bay confirms price expectations.
Records show the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home last sold for $1.4 million in December 1995.
Zoellner, who is handling the property campaign in conjunction with Michael Pallier of Sydney Sotheby’s International Realty, is accepting expressions of interest until 4pm on Tuesday, April 23.
Watsons Bay is just a short drive from Point Piper, home to the most expensive house in Australia.
A baronial-style trophy estate called Uig Lodge on Wentworth Place transacted in 2022 for $130 million. Built in about 1900, the manor was purchased by Atlassian billionaire Scott Farquhar.
Situated on the tip of one of the Harbour City’s most exclusive headland enclaves, the property for sale offers breathtaking views from the multiple patios, gardens and balconies.
There is also a private jetty and boat ramp for the buyer and their guests to enjoy.
Interiors are described as “palatial” on the listing, however, agents also suggest there is an “exciting scope for enhancement”.
A neutral palette, expansive use of glass, white walls, carpet and glossy tiled floors feature throughout the space.
Watsons Bay is an upscale suburb of Sydney, 11km northeast of the CBD.
There aren’t enough sales over the past 12 months for Domain to obtain a median house price for the suburb.
However, Domain’s House Price Report for the December 2023 quarter reveals Sydney’s median house price has reached a new peak of $1.6 million. The city’s median house price rose by 10.3 per cent last year, surpassing its previous peak last December.
