A home inspired by the cult TV show Friends is for sale in the US and it could be yours for a cool USD $330,000 (AUD $446,000).

The US sitcom was set in New York City and followed the lives of six 20-somethings, Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Monica (Courteney Cox), Chandler (Matthew Perry), Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) and Ross (David Schwimmer).

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom townhouse was built in 2003 — one year before the series ended, by which time it had made stars of its six lead cast members.

The sitcom produced some legendary scenes and storylines during its 10-year run, and many of these are referenced throughout the home, which is located in Houston, Texas.

The living room features a large wall-length mural depicting the Central Perk cafe, which was the scene of much of the show’s action. There is also a plush yellow lounge, green armchair and wooden coffee table, which are similar to those found in the cafe.

A nearby wall features another mural, this time depicting the show’s opening credits — an outdoor scene at night with the famed fountain and an apartment building backdrop. A patch of artificial grass and the iconic floor lamp completes the look.

The kitchen has been modelled on Monica and Rachel’s iconic New York apartment, complete with blue painted cabinetry and shelving, faux brick wall, and even the lampshade.

The round wooden dining table and high-backed chairs painted in blue and white also make an appearance.

The other side of the room even features the signature lavender walls.

Moving along to the hallway heading upstairs, you will find yet another reminder of the show. A mural of Ross and the word ‘Pivot’ — a nod to the episode where Ross attempts to move his new sofa upstairs, and repeatedly screams ‘pivot’ at an exasperated Rachel and Chandler.

Another living room even features a foosball table like the one in Chandler and Joey’s apartment.

Agent Diana Hu told TODAY the home’s owner, Frank, has has a lot of success listing the home on Airbnb.

“He mentioned to me that it’s very popular in the Airbnb industry to have a theme for your house,” she said. “He actually gets pretty good bookings for his place.”

Hu said it marked the first time in 16 years that she had listed a home with a pop culture theme, but she seems to have embraced the challenge, adopting numerous references to the show in advertising material promoting the sale.

“The current owners didn’t ‘monkey’ around when paying attention to details,” it begins. “Start your day with breakfast prepared in Monica’s Kitchen. After a day of foosball or hanging out with friends at Central Perk, it might be time to check the local entertainment.”

If you are a Friends fan and can’t afford to buy the property, there is hope for you. If an investor should buy the property there is a good chance they may keep it as an Airbnb holiday home and you can book yourself in for a stay next time you are in the US.
