Canberrans are rightly proud that one of the country’s leading tertiary institution, the Australian National University, calls the nation’s capital home.

Now there’s an extra reason to celebrate the lifestyle vibe that this young, diverse and educated segment is injecting into the western fringes of the CBD.

ANU’s new Reunion Court, renamed “Kambri at ANU”, is set to be completed by the end of this year and this mixed-use development will inject 450 student dwellings, 400 underground car parking spaces and several retail and hospitality options into this new precinct.

Chris Antos of Laing+Simmons says the development will comprise an eatery-focused laneway and a town square-like space that will host a variety of retail and hospitality options.

“The idea is to create a vibe where people can shop and also have a place for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a drink,” he says.

“While the development includes more student accommodation and is part of the ANU campus, this development welcomes all Canberrans and provides yet more options on the western side of the CBD.”

Part of that broader appeal will be a swimming pool and gym.
