The ACT government has released 175 residential blocks of land in Taylor, which are set to go to auction in November. However, there is a twist.
The Suburban Land Agency has disclosed the reserves of each of the blocks.
“Our latest release in Taylor offers a diverse range of land sizes and prices, which we expect to attract buyers from all corners of the market,” said Suburban Land Agency CEO John Dietz.
“We believe by providing the market with reserve prices before the auction, it will allow the purchaser more time to make an informed decision. It follows the agency’s commitment to find a balance between social, environmental and financial responsibilities.
“Purchasing land is a big decision for anyone. If we can help ease some of that stress and allow a better preparation for auction through disclosed reserve pricing, I think that is a good thing.”
The blocks range in size from 315 to 938 square metres and have reserves from $285,000 to $530,000.
Both flat and inclined blocks are on offer, with some blocks offering views across Gungahlin.
Taylor is located in north Gungahlin and is bordered by Jacka, Moncrieff and Casey.
The first residents moved to Taylor a few months ago, and it will eventually be home to about 5000 people.
On October 10, the Suburban Land Agency will be hosting an information evening on Taylor at the Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club.
Blocks will be auctioned over two days – November 21 and 22 – in the Fitzroy Pavilion at Exhibition Park in Canberra.
Independent Property Group are the selling agents on the blocks.
