Actor Cameron Diaz lists old bachelorette apartment in New York City

Ever wanted to sleep in the same bedroom as model and actress Cameron Diaz?

Here’s an opportunity – but it comes at a hefty price.

Diaz is selling her two-bedroom New York City bachelorette pad, which carries an asking price of $6,034,000.

The furniture and fittings, which are described as “a mixture of vintage, mid-century modern, and custom design”, can be bought as well.

It includes intricately hand-stenciled ceilings, hand-made wallpaper, a pink onyx bath, matte black marble flooring, bespoke storage and cabinetry, burnished metal sinks and benchtops in the kitchen, and silk curtains and rose gold glass panels in the dining room.

The 43 year-old movie star has graced many magazine covers, and so has her Greenwich Village apartment, which features brass accents – including the kitchen splashback and tiles in the bathroom – among its glamour finishes.

The listing, via NYC agency Warburg Realty, makes a point of the property appearing on the cover of Elle Decor.

“Every room, surface, fixture, and furnishing is a work of art in itself, all custom, all artisan, and all painstakingly crafted,” the listing says.

Diaz hired interior designer to the A-list Kelly Wearstler to fix up the apartment after she bought it in 2008.

Diaz has since married rocker Benji Madden, of the band Good Charlotte.

The pair live in Los Angeles, tying the knot in a ceremony at Diaz’s Beverly Hills estate in January this year.

Wearstler has made a name among the rich and famous for her brand of old Hollywood glamour, evoked by bold, glitzy colours and sumptuous fixtures and fittings.

Her makeover of Diaz’s apartment is typical of her opulent, so-called “maximalist” approach of vintage-inspired textures, patterns and saturated jewel tones.
