Actor Zac Efron has sold his Los Angeles home for more than $6.8 million months after snapping up a property outside Byron Bay.
The 33-year-old star, who swapped Hollywood for the popular NSW coastal town amid the coronavirus pandemic, has sold the Los Feliz home he put on the market late last year.
The four-bedroom house was listed in December with an asking price of $US5.9 million, which was later dropped to $US5.575 million after several months on the market. It has now sold for $US5.3million ($6,826,000), Dirt reports, still up from the $US4 million Efron paid for the property more than seven years ago.
The sale comes after the Hollywood star splashed $2 million on a sprawling bush block in the Tweed Valley between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, in a sign he could be set to stay put in Australia long-term.
The NSW property covers almost 130 hectares of land, offering rainforest, creeks, waterfalls and bushwalking tracks.
The residence back in Los Angeles offers a four-bedroom, five-bathroom main house, plus a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guesthouse – most recently used as a gym by the actor – and a four-vehicle carport.
The hillside property has both city and ocean views, and each bedroom opens out to a terrace that runs the length of the house on both levels – offering plenty of outdoor entertaining space, as well as a pool and spa.
Other features include a chef’s kitchen, a huge games room and lounge, complete with a ping pong table, as well as a wine cellar.
Personal touches feature throughout, including a skateboard collection, pinball machine and an artwork of Bruce Lee.
