Allhomes is passionate about supporting and participating in our community by assisting local organisations and we are proud to announce our summer sponsorship of the Canberra Cavalry.
The Canberra Cavalry is set to bring in the New Year at their home ground MIT Narrabundah Ballpark, going up against the Sydney Blue Sox in the opening home series of the 2020-21 ABL season, and Allhomes is thrilled to support a local team and sport that holds a special place in the hearts of Canberrans.
Allhomes general manager Danielle Harmer said the announcement comes during an exciting time, as Allhomes celebrates 20 years in the property market as the capital’s leading property portal.
“This partnership showcases Allhomes’ commitment to engaging with the Canberra community at large and supporting a much-loved local team,” Harmer said.
Similar to Allhomes’ anniversary this year, and a testament to Canberra’s love for the city’s elite baseball team, the Canberra Cavalry is celebrating a milestone of their own – 10 years of having competed in the Australian Baseball League since 2010.
“Allhomes has become a brand that so many Canberrans, our fans and members trust in their personal lives. It’s rewarding to partner up with locally-focused companies that do great community work and Allhomes is one of those. We’re excited to see how it grows,” Canberra Cavalry chief executive Dan Amodio said.
“Like an electrifying baseball season, we’re used to sharing highs, lows, wins, records and accolades, but across our property market. It’s these times that have enabled us to continue to learn and deliver improvements, insights and trends to our local audiences,” Harmer adds.
Keep your eye out for some exciting game-day activations, including the newly dubbed “Allhomes run” where every time a Canberra Cavalry player hits a home run it will be referred to as an “Allhomes run” by the PA announcer.
“The home run is the biggest and most exciting part of any baseball game and the Cavalry are especially known for their big home runs, so it’s exciting to have a partner to celebrate what we will be calling the Allhomes run,” Amodio said.
“Allhomes is really contributing to the fun of the games. Those big moments will now become even more memorable.”
Allhomes recently participated in the inaugural CBR Charity Super Bowl and came second overall against teams from Village Building Co, BentSpoke Brewing Co, Canberra Casino, Chamberlains Law Firm and more with $5500 raised for Lifeline ACT and Menslink.
As part of the summer sponsorship, Allhomes will be giving away tickets to upcoming games and membership packages throughout the season. There will also be competitions so keep a keen eye on our Facebook and Instagram to enter!
“Canberrans have been through so much in the past year – the bushfires made playing and being outside very difficult and then the pandemic happened. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone back at the games, including our members and sponsors,” Amodio said.
“That first pitch of the season on New Year’s Eve is going to be a very special one and turn the page on the year that was.”
