Nestled away on a quiet street in Braddon, Artisan seeks to fulfil a demand for more spacious residences near the city centre.

Released by LJ Hooker Projects ACT over the weekend, Artisan Braddon is a small boutique development with only 27 apartments.

LJ Hooker Projects ACT director Andrew Ligdopoulos said Artisan is ideal for owner-occupiers due to the size of the two and three-bedroom properties.

“A majority of our apartments are two-bedroom and are larger size two-bedroom apartments than most of the developments coming up [in Canberra],” said Ligdopoulos.

“Owner-occupier groups are split between your second or third home buyer [but] there has been interest from some first-home buyers as well because there are a couple of one-bedrooms.”

Located just a short walk from Lonsdale Street and the Canberra Centre there has already been a great deal of interest in the apartments.

“We’ve already got sales from the pre-release and we had a very busy first weekend,” said Ligdopoulos.

Although it is close to the hub, Ligdopoulos said residents have the luxury of living in quiet surrounds.

“In terms of the location, it’s located on Lowanna Street, which is a quiet street. It’s a very short stroll to Lonsdale Street and a little further will take you into the city,” he added.

Artisan is due to be completed in the third quarter of 2018 with construction already under way.
