A four-bedroom house on Bogan Street garnered plenty of attention from would-be purchasers who saw in it their own Kath & Kim moment.

The home in a giggle-worthy location in Greystanes sold for a stellar sum, north of $1.3 million, on the weekend.

“We did have a couple of people we spoke to that said they were too classy to live on a street called Bogan Street,” agent Karen Beebar of LJ Hooker Greystanes laughed.

It was “not the first time” Beebar had sold a property on Bogan Street.

“We’ve been pronouncing it differently. Bogan Street has been bo-GAHN street,” Beebar says.

She joked that hand-in-glove with the most Aussie of street names was her first name of Karen, “with all the memes that are associated with that as well.”

“It really is a series of comedies,” she says.

The property sold under the hammer for $1.342 million, nearly $100,000 above the median house price for the suburb.

With four generous bedrooms, the blonde brick house has plenty to offer a growing family.

There is a solid timber kitchen with a gas stove, two toilets, space to park three cars, a separate office, and built-in-wardrobes in three of the four bedrooms.

The roof also comes with an array of solar panels, ideal for keeping energy costs down.
