Ben Simmons is hoping to achieve a multimillion-dollar victory off the court.

The Aussie NBA star, who plays as point guard for the Brooklyn Nets and famously dated supermodel Kendall Jenner, is taking his Los Angeles home to auction with a $10 million price cut.

On the market since 2022, the mansion was first listed for $US22,999,000 ($AU35,258,846). It is now listed for $US17,495,000 ($AU26,820,884).

In the celebrity enclave of Hidden Hills, the seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom property is advertised on Concierge Auctions’ online marketplace with bidding to commence on April 18 and conclude on April 30. Starting bids are expected to hit between $7 million and $12 million.

Rayni Williams, Branden Williams, Gregory LaPlant and Rachel Salgado of The Beverly Hills Estates are the listing agents.

Simmons, an Aussie native who played for the Philadelphia 76ers before joining the Brooklyn Nets, revealed in a statement how location was the driving factor in putting the home on the market.

“This is a beautiful home that I’ve enjoyed, but because I spend most of my time on the east coast, sadly, it often goes unused. It’s time to move on,” he said, in the statement published on Concierge Auctions’ website.

The property is described on the listing as a “modern farmhouse retreat”, on an acre-and-a-half of manicured grounds.

A sense of opulence and grandeur is expressed through double-vaulted wood ceilings, marble floors, glass walls, chandeliers and bespoke details, including the floating brass fireplace in the living area.

There’s ample space to entertain with a professional kitchen and an expansive swimming pool. A private plunge pool is by the secluded guest house.
