A luxurious seven-bedroom mansion in Sydney dubbed Australia’s most beautiful beach house is also Australia’s most wanted home.
Listed by Forbes Global Properties, the recently-designed beachfront home at 35 Ocean Road in Palm Beach has expectations of around $40 million, and the listing is the most clicked on, Australia-wide on Domain, over the past seven days.
This would be much more the Sydney northern beaches record set by the sale of 167 Pacific Road in Palm Beach for $27.5 million in June, but 6 Cabarita Road in Avalon Beach, fresh on the market, has $50 million price hopes will set a new benchmark.
Named Bellona, the Palm Beach abode has been described on the listing as “Australia’s most beautiful beach house”.
The breathtaking ocean views are no doubt the property’s unique selling point, and the servants’ quarters suggest the amount of detail that’s gone into the layout and the level of luxury abounding.
Owners Margaret and Bob Rose worked alongside architect Drew Barnyak to design the entire home, which was completed in 2002.
Although the owners live in Sydney, they have been using the property as a weekender.
Incredible photos on the listing show the gourmet-style kitchen, the modern living room, beachfront balcony and the private entrance from the beach.
The kitchen features high ceilings with timber beams, and there’s ample space for entertaining with two courtyards and manicured gardens.
The future owner will be able to relax and unwind in the lounge room which takes on a coastal aesthetic with calming blue, white and silver tones.
