The buyers of an Adelaide home will be working on their dribbling skills in the backyard.
A basketball court and detached living space are show-stopping features in the outdoor entertainment zone at 13 Crombie Street in Hove, South Australia.
Built in 1966, the four-bedroom, one-bathroom, beachside property has undergone a contemporary renovation and is described as a “true head-turner” on the listing.
Samuel Paton of Ray White Glenelg, who holds the listing alongside Adam Rice, tells Nine the home sold at auction on December 16 to a young couple for $975,000.
Paton tells Nine the buyers are “local who were looking for a family home”. There were six registered bidders and two active bidders at auction.
Bidding began at $850,000, paused at $960,000, and proceed with negotiations.
Alongside the basketball court and detached living space, there is also a covered front deck and yard.
Agents suggest on the listing that the detached living space could be made into a fourth bedroom.
The floorplan for the home reveals an open-plan dining and kitchen zone with vaulted ceilings, floorboards, intricate tilework and sleek cabinetry.
As part of the renovation, the walls have been given a fresh lick of paint.
Hove is a coastal suburb of Adelaide, north of Brighton. The sold home is just a short stroll to the beach.
Domain’s latest data reveals the median price for a four-bedroom home in the area is $1,488,000 with 14 sold this year.
