Britney Spears’ former LA house hits market for $12 million

The star lived in this Beverly Hills mansion for five years following her divorce with Kevin Federline. 

The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home is in a gated community of Beverly Hills called The Summit. 

Pop star Britney Spears lived in the house from 2007 to 2012, during a tumultuous period of her life, People reports. 

The house is now back on the market for $US7,999,995 ($AU12,500,000). 

It is described in the listing as “a former celebrity haven” set within a “prestigious 24-hour guard-gated enclave”. 

“This is a rare opportunity to acquire a true masterpiece – the crown jewel of The Summit,” the listing says. 

“Recently renovated inside and out, this secluded retreat atop Mulholland Drive offers unparalleled tranquility.” 

The house is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, close to hiking trails and picnic spots in nearby canyons. 

There are several luxury features hiding in the garden, including a saltwater pool, a jacuzzi, and a kids’ cubbyhouse with a slide. 

Inside, the home features murals from local artist Maria Trimbell, including a lush jungle scene with elephants and giraffes in the nursery. 

The gourmet kitchen has high ceilings, marble benchtops, and a host of high-end appliances, including a wine fridge, an ice maker, and warming drawers.
