If you buy this apartment, you’ll always know what time it is. That’s because you’ll live inside the clock.

It’s a triplex penthouse in Brooklyn – a 633 square metre spread atop the landmark Clock Tower Building. The building is a former cardboard box factory built in 1914.

The incredible penthouse features 4.2-metre clock faces on every wall that allow plenty of natural light, while also providing amazing views of the Brooklyn Bridge and New York Harbour.

Originally priced at US$25 million ($32.8 million), the penthouse languished on the market for roughly six years – and has finally sold for US$15 million ($19.7 million).

There are 4.2-metre glass clock faces on four walls of the main living area, and a glass elevator in the centre of the space.

This figure breaks a record for the priciest condominium unit ever sold in Brooklyn. The previous record-setter was a condo inside Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pierhouse development, which closed this month for just over AU$19.7 million.

The penthouse extends over three levels, with ceilings that soar up to 15 metres, and views across New York City.

The residence features three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. With rooms situated over three levels, the ceilings extend to 15m in some spaces.

Part of an open, loft-style living area, the custom kitchen has white lacquer cabinets, Pietra Cardosa sandstone and stainless steel benchtops with integral sinks, and appliances by Gaggenau and Sub-Zero.

There's no shortage of breathtaking views, whether through the windows, or from clock faces.

The listing photos do not include any bedroom images, but according to online information, the master suite has views down to Lower Manhattan.

All the spa-like baths have radiant heated natural stone floors, glass wall tiles, fixtures and fittings by Dornbracht. While soaking in the master bathroom’s tub, you’ll have views of the Manhattan Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.

Throughout the penthouse, the internal systems are run by smart technology with Crestron systems for heating/air conditioning, lighting, wireless audio and sun control.

There’s also a rooftop cabana and open deck providing amazing views from the Verrazano Bridge to the Empire State Building.
