Actress Cameron Diaz and musician Benji Madden have splashed out on a new family home in Beverly Hills, according to media reports.
The couple, who welcomed their first child earlier this year, are upgrading to a seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom house in the affluent 90210 zip code.
Records show the pair recently purchased the sprawling “custom architectural farmhouses” estate for almost $US14.7 million ($20.8 million), Variety reports.
The Beverly Hills property spans more than 860 square metres, and offers a large family home and a separate guesthouse on fully landscaped grounds.
Situated at the top of long, gated, double-width driveway, with a guard house for extra security, the property has a three-car garage and room for at least 10 additional vehicles.
Inside the home, designed by ANR Signature Collection, there are high, beamed ceilings, open-plan living spaces and neutral decor throughout. There’s a formal living room, formal dining room – with a built-in wine room and family room – and a theatre room that’s perfect for cinema buffs, according to the listing.
At the centre of the home is a spacious kitchen, with a large central island, and a dining area with french doors that open out to the pool and multiple outdoor dining and entertaining areas, as well as a barbecue area.
The seven bedrooms include an oversized main bedroom downstairs, and a main suite upstairs with its own sitting area, fireplace, private patio, his-and-hers baths and walk-in wardrobes, as well as a marble double shower and soaking tub.
It will be a short move for the pair who are already living in Beverly Hills, in a gated community that is reportedly home to celebrities such as Adele and Jennifer Lawrence.
