Renovated homes continue to draw buyers, and the weekend results highlight the strength of this sector.

Luton Properties Gungahlin’s Nick Paine sold the beautifully updated property at 8 Cooling Place, Florey, for $1.52 million on Saturday.

“We had 10 registered bidders vying for the property,” he said.

Newly transformed to the highest standards, the residence is located in a peaceful cul-de-sac backing onto a reserve and provides seamless integration between indoors and outdoors.

The luxurious house features beautifully appointed interiors and showcases the private sun-drenched backyard, which delivers a sparkling mineral pool, pizza oven, integrated kitchen, barbecue, and three-point basketball court.

Other accommodation includes spacious formal and informal living areas plus a deluxe island kitchen complete with premium Australian appliances, including an integrated microwave, induction cooktop, filtered hot water system and large butler’s pantry-laundry.

The property offers four generous bedrooms, three of which have built-in wardrobes, while the main bedroom has an en suite, walk-in wardrobe and access to the backyard.

Additional attributes of the home include ducted air-conditioning, a CCTV security system, solar panels, a double remote-controlled garage, and the latest lighting innovations.

The property is in a premier position in the Belconnen district, on an 843-square-metre block, within footsteps of the popular Florey shops, local schools, Belconnen Town Centre and Lake Ginninderra.

Florey has been a solid performer over the past year, with the median house price rising by 1.1 per cent to $917,500 and the median price for a four-bedroom house in the suburb sitting at $1.065 million.

Nearby, Belle Property Canberra’s Leanne Palmer was negotiating with a potential buyer after the expansive four-bedroom townhouse at 13/7 Joy Cummings Place, Belconnen, was passed in.

Nestled within an exclusive complex of only 14 residences, the thoughtfully designed two-storey townhouse offers four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two living areas.

It features a well-appointed kitchen with stone benchtops, European laundry, a study nook, a separate living space upstairs, two balconies, a courtyard, and a double garage.

Adjacent to the scenic John Knight Park and across from the University of Canberra Hospital, this residence is conveniently located near the Belconnen Town Centre and trails around Lake Ginninderra.

On Thursday, Ray White Canberra’s Sebastian Gutierrez sold the four-bedroom, two-storey house at 17 Callabonna Street, Kaleen, for an undisclosed price.

On an elevated 808-square-metre block, the four-bedroom house has peaceful panoramic views that extend across Canberra’s east to Mount Ainslie.
