The stylish, bespoke residence at 5 Lindwall Place, Nicholls, sold for $1.575 million.

Canberra’s property market showed mixed results over the long weekend, with several homes passing in at auction while others achieved solid sales.

Fewer auctions were scheduled this week in anticipation of the Labour Day holiday weekend, but those that did generated significant buyer interest, despite some not selling on auction day.

Hive Property’s Samantha Linsdell sold the stylish five-bedroom house at 5 Lindwall Place, Nicholls, under the hammer on Saturday for $1.575 million.

She said there were four registered bidders for the substantial, bespoke residence set on a generous 1240-square-metre block.

It includes three sun-drenched living spaces, two bathrooms, expansive outdoor entertaining spaces and lush landscaped gardens.

Tim McInnes from Timothy Road had no luck with the auction of the updated three-bedroom, two-bathroom house at 21 Ferguson Place, Flynn, with no bidders on the day. It is now on the market for over $849,000.

McInnes said they had interest in the property from conditional buyers so they were hopeful of a sale in the coming days.

The beautifully renovated three-bedroom home in a sought-after cul-de-sac offers style and tranquility.

Surrounded by a green belt and on the scenic Ginninderra Creek walking trail, it features a light-filled living area, a modern kitchen with premium appliances, and breathtaking views of the Brindabellas.

“We’re still seeing strong results after selling two properties prior to auction last weekend and another two right afterwards,” McInnes said.

27 Buckley Circuit, Kambah sold under the hammer for $752,500.

Elsewhere on the day, Belle Property’s Steve Whitelock sold the well-presented three-bedroom house at 27 Buckley Circuit, Kambah, for $752,500.

Combining character with refreshed interiors and a functional layout, the property boasts garden views from every room, a sunny deck, private gardens, ample parking and a double garage. It sits in a convenient location near parks, shopping and schools.

Woden Valley’s popular suburb of Phillip recorded strong sales results during the week.

On Wednesday, the two-bedroom apartment at 13/143 Port Jackson Circuit sold through Hayman Partners for $490,000 while the three-bedroom townhouse at 31/128 Easty Street sold through Ray White for $810,000.

A three-bedroom house at 39 Langdon Avenue, Wanniassa, was passed in and is on the market for $835,000.

The four-bedroom house on a 1578-square-metre site at 135 Shackleton Circuit, Mawson, was passed in on Thursday and is now on the market through Hayman Partners for more than $1.78 million.

Clearance rates improved last weekend, with 53 per cent of properties sold compared to 52 per cent this time last year.
