Buyers will have their first opportunity to inspect a complete apartment at Belconnen’s Wayfarer development this weekend.

A two-bedroom and a three-bedroom apartment on the 27-storey building’s sixth floor are now complete and fully furnished.

While buyers have had access to the floor plans, finishes and colour palettes, the complete product allows buyers to see all these elements come together and experience the views and the scale of the apartments.

In July, the sixth floor will be complete and buyers will be able to explore each of the available floor plans, according to Geocon managing director Nick Georgalis.

“This is just the first sneak peek of what we have,” Georgalis said.

“But we do have the kitchens to look at, the bathrooms, the look and feel and the outlook. Even though it is an apartment, you do have expansive balconies, you do have this space that’s your own and you are in the town centre.”

Designed by Cox Architecture, the properties include quality fixtures and fittings throughout.

Mr Georgalis said the kitchens, which were designed by renowned chef Tetsuya Wakuda, have been a huge attraction and integrated Electrolux appliances including an induction cooktop, range hood, oven, compact combi oven, microwave and dishwasher are included with each apartment.

On-site features begin with a grand entrance on the ground floor with six-metre ceilings and the top two levels of the 88-metre tall building will include an infinity pool.

Level 25 will feature a sky lounge entertaining area with 360-degree views across Canberra.

Georgalis says while Wayfarer features a modern facade, it was created to fit seamlessly within its surroundings.

“You do have that brutalist architecture that Belconnen has always been famous for, but now it’s a lot more refined,” Georgalis says.

“There is an artistic nature about it.”

The building is just a short stroll to Westfield Belconnen, various government departments, the University of Canberra and a great selection of restaurants, cafes and bars.

While 90 per cent of the units have sold, a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments are available.

One-bedroom units range from $332,900 to $418,900, two-bedroom are priced from $452,400 to $622,400 and three-bedrooms are priced from $503,900 to $701,400.

Completion is expected before the end of the year.
