The ACT punched well above its weight at the national real estate awards on Thursday, winning four of the 16 categories.
Ray White Belconnen and Independent Property Group were among the night’s big winners.
More than 250 people gathered at the Canberra’s Hyatt Hotel for the 12th annual Real Estate Institute of Australia’s National Awards for Excellence.
REIA president Malcolm Gunning said competition was fierce across all award categories and highlighted the strength of the industry.
“To be presented with an REIA National Award for Excellence is the highest honour in Australian real estate,” Mr Gunning said.
Ray White Belconnen received the award for medium residential agency of the year, while Independent Property Group celebrated three awards.
Renee Bink was named residential property manager of the year, Sofia Ligeros took out corporate support person of the year and the achievement award went to Stephanie Graham.
The result builds on last year’s success for the territory. Canberra picked up three awards at the annual event in 2016.
NSW, Victoria and South Australia each picked up three awards, Western Australia won two and Tasmania received one.
