Many Canberrans will already familiar with this spectacular Wright property.
Built as a display home by Mayfair Homes, The Curzon has provided inspiration for those building their own properties, won a slew of awards and was featured on the Seven Network’s Australia’s Best Houses.
Jam-packed with high-end features, the home has now hit the market and it has the potential to achieve a record price for the Molonglo Valley.
Mayfair Homes director Steve Kolak says the team drew ideas and inspiration from five-star hotels.
“The aim was to find a way families could live a little bit of luxury at home every day, and we have definitely achieved that with this stunning home,” Kolak says.
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home has more than 325 square metres of living space, a spectacular gourmet kitchen, a swimming pool and low-maintenance landscaping.
Every detail has been carefully considered – the kitchen features Smeg appliances, custom joinery, an integrated steamer coffee-machine, plate-warming draws and Hansgrohe tapware.
“When we design a display home, our aim is to showcase the very best of what we can offer – from the style and design to the inclusions and materials,” Kolak says.
The home won seven major awards in 2014, with its kitchen, landscaping, swimming pool and use of the materials recognised by Master Builders Australia and the Housing Industry Association.
Kolak says the team was particularly proud to be awarded the MBA national display home of the year award.
“For The Curzon to be recognised locally with so many awards was wonderful, but for house to then be awarded the best display home in Australia was absolutely incredible.”
