Charnwood, undeservedly, gets a bad wrap.

Now hear me out for a second. You know how we Canberrans know we’re onto a great thing? So, not only have we learnt to brush off those crude remarks from outsiders (who, mind you haven’t been to Canberra since their year 6 trip to Questacon and the War Memorial) about our “boring city”, we laugh because we know they truly have no idea.

And, we’re happy to keep it that way because it means they stay away? Well, the same goes for Charnwood.

“The locals know how good it is, but they don’t tell anyone,” says agent Jamie McDonell, of inStyle Estate Agents.

Well, the secret’s out, and with it comes a selection of three-bedroom, two-bathroom townhouses knows as Octavia.

“We tell people to come to us with their ‘wish list’ – whatever it is they’ve always wanted in their home. Anything they’ve seen in design magazines, Instagram etcetera, and we’ll provide a quote on what it will take to include that in their build,” he says.

Dynamic Constructions is both the builder and developer of Octavia.

“Dom, the owner, is was born and bred in Canberra and is a second-generation builder. He’s always on site, which indicates the quality of the build and the care he puts into his work – he’s the furthest thing from a briefcase builder.”

Expected completion for move in is mid-2022.
