Buying a new home is all about crafting your ultimate lifestyle. With every purchase, you’re hopefully making steps towards shaping your dream life.

It could be that you’d like to live in a convenient location that’s closer to the city so you can be among the action, or maybe you’d prefer the suburbs, where there’s more space for your kids to run around.

Or perhaps living in a house that has options for you to work from home, a playroom for the kids, or a parent’s retreat.

Comprising a total of 74 apartments and townhouses, Whitlam’s newest development, EKKO, offers a Molonglo Valley lifestyle that’s as balanced as an experienced stand-up paddle boarder and at a very appealing price point.

“It’s a prime location, directly opposite what will be the Whitlam shops and adjacent to the future Whitlam primary school,” says selling agent Samuel Fitzsimmons of Ray White Canberra.

“But, it’s also so close to major arterial roads like John Gorton Drive, William Hovell Drive and Coulter Drive that take you straight through to major town centres in Belconnen, Woden and the city in around 10 to 15 minutes.”

Surrounded by bike tracks that run through a nature reserve, brand-new parks and playgrounds, rolling hills and green spaces all the way down to the Molonglo River, EKKO’s location is both beautiful and practical.

The apartments and townhouses range from two to three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

With DNA Architects at the helm, the architecture has been cleverly designed to echo the neighbouring landscape of the region.

“With functional layouts that maximise comfort and space, you can settle down with all the room you need,” says Fitzsimmons.

In collaboration with CU.DE Interiors, the interior design has been curated with soft tones, textures and subtle finishes, allowing you to make the space your own.

“Normally, a development might have a dark and light colour palette, but ours are both light and paired back to be versatile and suit a range of tastes,” says Fitzsimmons.

“But there are differences in subtleties like the bathroom floors, which feature a whiter terrazzo or one with more flecks of greys and greens. Or the kitchen cabinetry which has a cream option of a soft khaki, olive green.”

The homes are positioned across four buildings on a gently sloping block, meaning they don’t look directly into each other and enjoy the stunning landscape beyond.

The facade feels industrial with a mix of materials like precast concrete, metal cladding, brickwork and aluminium. However, the surrounding lush green landscaping softens its overall feel.
