Simplicity is key, as the old adage goes, and you can’t get a simpler or more effective business name than the newly launched Canberra Real Estate.
Led by experienced real estate professionals Tony Trpeski and Lisa Quick, the name they settled on – from a list of around 30 – was one they felt would embody what they were about to do.
“Lisa and I both grew up in Canberra and have worked in real estate for a long time, so we felt the name Canberra Real Estate didn’t have any boundaries in what our business was going to do,” Trpeski said.
“I had to check and triple-check if the name was available because I couldn’t believe it hadn’t been taken already.
“But it just made sense and it says everything about who we are – we are Canberrans and we are real estate professionals.”
Tony has worked in the real estate industry since 1998 and counts himself as a property professional in all aspects.
He and Lisa have worked in a franchise together for the past five years but decided it was time to rebrand that business with their own touch.
“When you start out, being in a franchise is a brilliant place to be because you can learn your trade and you need the discipline that it provides you,” Trpeski said.
“Now after 25 years in the industry, we know what we want and how we want to engage and operate as real estate professionals; the way I see it, this is a chance for unlimited opportunity and creativity.”
Canberra Real Estate customers can expect a high-tech, high-touch experience while working with a company that prides itself on its contemporary attitude to technology and its agile business model.
With a customer relationship management system that enables them to communicate at every step of the way, and artificial-intelligence software used to understand where customers are up to in their real estate journey, the team will no doubt have every aspect of property covered.
Canberra Real Estate is also looking to decrease its carbon footprint as best it can.
“We are very close to a paperless business, I would say almost 99 per cent, so we do everything that we can electronically,’ Trpeski said.
“Agents have multi-use, tap-to-phone business cards and we use DocuSign throughout our dealings.”
Trpeski said while they weren’t looking to grow beyond their means, they were currently looking to expand their team where they could.
“Essentially our property management team have stayed the same and we have brought on a new real estate agent,” he said.
“We do intend to build the team. We will never be a team of 20 or 30 agents – that’s not who we are – but we are in growth mode right now.”
The team is now well underway as the newly branded Canberra Real Estate, and working out of its new location in the Nishi Building.
