Independent real estate agents and property managers were recognised on Saturday night at the annual Independent Awards at Hotel Realm. This year the theme was ‘Le Circque Spectaculair’.
With 24 awards handed out on the night, the prestigious awards on the evening were Independent’s Salesperson of the Year awards. Three different awards were given based on an agent’s sales volume, highest gross commission income (GCI) and highest established GCI.
Mark Wolens and Nicholas Jacob of Independent Woden and Weston Creek took home Independent Salesperson of the Year, based on the highest sales volume. Mark Larmer, Tania Butler-Kemp and Aaron Lewis — who are all part of a team dubbed “Our Team” — snatched up both Salesperson of the Year for highest GCI and established GCI.
Three awards for Sales Office of the Year based on highest GCI, established GCI and sales volume were scooped up by Independent Inner North and City.
In the property management categories, Arti Delaney won the Rising Star Award; Emily Larsen took home Outstanding Performance by a Staff Member; Kayla Chesher won Team Member of the Year; and Kimberly Nugent won the Property Management Director’s Award.
Independent MD John Minns praised all the recipients of the awards and commended the work they have achieved at Independent.
“Despite a challenging year in 2019, we are incredibly proud of the performance of our team across all business units,” he says.
“It was also wonderful to recognise our annual award winners on Saturday night. Every one of them achieved the highest standard of performance, client experience and industry leadership.”
