The final touches have been put on Geocon’s Midnight development, as it prepares to welcome residents from next month.
Construction of the Braddon 230-apartment offering has finished and an exclusive look inside Midnight reveals a stylish design to match its inner-city location.
Settlements on the apartments are expected in November, and there is a limited number of apartments still available, Geocon senior sales executive Natasha Johnson said.
“We were completely sold out, but luckily for some buyers, some apartments have come back on the market,” she said.
“I have probably 10 to 12 apartments, a combination of one-bedroom, two-bedroom and the three bedrooms.
“We’ve also got some Soho apartments [and] double-level penthouse offerings.”
A highlight of the development are the penthouses terraces. There are six altogether at Midnight, each of which features a spiral staircase leading to a private rooftop terrace.
“They are absolutely stunning,” Ms Johnson said.
“I think it is setting the benchmark for Canberra residential living in the city, we’ve got beautiful open spaces [and] floor-to-ceiling windows with the most spectacular views.
“The extra special feature is the stairs leading up to your own private terrace with the most fantastic views and the option to have your own barbecue area and garden.”
The public will have the opportunity to check out the residential side of the development on Sunday, at the Midnight open day.
The Fender Katsalidis designed building shed its scaffolding in June and early-July, and Geocon director Nick Georgalis said the facade had attracted a lot of buzz.
“This is a building our customers have continually fallen in love with from the moment they see it on the street,” he said.
“Midnight is perfectly situated in the heart of Braddon, on the doorstep of the light rail and within a short walk of the city. It has revolutionised and reinvented the way Canberra people interact with their homes, where they work and where they like to spend their free time.”
The hotel – a joint venture with the global Marriott brand – has already started welcoming guests, along with deli-style eatery, Braddon Merchant and the Midnight Bar.
The open day runs from 11am to 3pm on Sunday, October 13.
