Molonglo Valley is Canberra’s newest district. While it’s still very much under development, many people already call its suburbs of Wright, Coombs and Denman Prospect home.
The region was designed with a focus on recreational activities and ecological conservation.
Molonglo Valley embraces the natural environment – one can enjoy magnificent views of surrounding mountains and valleys from almost any corner of the region. Convenience is also at residents’ fingertips with nearby schools and shops that have opened in recent years.
“As one of the more new areas to Canberra, the growth in this region is an exciting thing to witness,” said Brett Hayman of Hayman Partners.
“From its new schools to its Stromlo Leisure Centre, and the Denman Village Shops right at the heart of it, residents of this region are being serviced everything they need as the region continues to grow.”
While the 2003 bushfires were a devastating chapter in Canberra’s history, it resulted in the creation of one of the region’ most uplifting landmarks, the National Arboretum. Today, there are more than 44,000 rare and endangered trees across the 250-hectare site.
The region has rapidly evolved over the years and will continue to grow with the suburbs of Molonglo and Whitlam under construction. Within a few decades, Molonglo Valley is expected to be home to 60,000 new residents across seven suburbs.
