In the third and final piece of DOMA’s Melrose precinct puzzle, The Hunter development will join The Melrose and The Charlotte to continue bringing function, class and liveability to Woden Valley.
Made up of 189 luxury one and two-bedroom apartments, The Hunter encompasses the chicness of a new build in one of Canberra’s hottest areas.
A similar size to the other two developments, The Hunter will see residents split across two buildings – an east and west tower – as the foyers of each meet in the open, landscaped communal space.
Residential director of Colliers Canberra, Josh Reid, says each detail has been meticulously thought out, setting it apart from its rivals.
It features open-plan living and dining spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows allowing in a wealth of natural light, and ducted reverse-cycle heating and cooling in the living, dining and bedrooms for year-round comfort.
“DOMA are curators of well-appointed apartments with design and functionality at the forefront,” Reid says. “As expert hoteliers, they understand how to cater for the needs and wants of their guests and have created resort-like amenities at The Hunter.”
In many ways, one can easily holiday at home here.
The last stage of the precinct features a rooftop pool and gym. From here, you’ll have sweeping views that stretch from Telstra Tower towards The Brindabellas.
Just imagine sipping a martini with a view of the capital in the distance and, with warmer days around the corner, enjoying a drink by the pool sounds all the sweeter.
And during the colder seasons, the heated pool will be perfect.
As they say, summer bodies are made in winter and, with a wellness centre by TechnoGym within the same complex, there’s no need for a gym membership.
“Buyers will have the best of both worlds at The Hunter,” Reid says.
It’s not just the allure of the tall glass towers, the choice of a warm or calming palette or the Smeg appliances throughout that make this an appealing offering, but the newly revitalised area of Woden itself.
You aren’t just buying a well-appointed home, but a lifestyle in one of Canberra’s sought-after regions.
The eagerly awaited light rail will service the area, which is home to a set of government department buildings and has easy access to the Canberra Hospital, not to mention the new CIT building en route, and the selection of new restaurants and bars that line Bradley Street.
DOMA significantly injected new life into the Woden Valley region, following its A&A development that has seen it open and operates The Alby, a new Friday afternoon knock-off hotspot.
“They also have a few great tenants, like eightysix south, which is a really classy restaurant, and some cafes,” Reid says.
“From what was an underdeveloped part of Woden, it has changed quite significantly.”
The Hunter is the final stage of an almost sold-out precinct and those wanting to access the elegance and luxury that it offers will need to get in quickly.
Construction is due to start in mid-2023, so residents to enjoy their new homes by late 2025.
