According to local indigenous dialects, Amaroo is said to mean “pretty place”, and there’s a lot that’s easy on the eye about this leafy suburb in Gungahlin.

With plenty of green spaces, ovals and playgrounds, plus larger blocks and homes, it’s a popular suburb for growing families.

Amaroo boasts its own local shops, with a supermarket, restaurants and other amenities, but is also just a stone’s throw north of Gungahlin Town Centre.
