The home of Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan could have a date with a wrecking ball after the actors sold the Beverly Hills estate at a six-figure loss.
The former couple have offloaded their Cape Cod-syle house for about $US5.925 million ($8.03 million), which was $US75,000 ($101,600) less than their asking price, Dirt.com reports.
The six-bedroom property hit the market in May with a $US6 million asking price, which was what the actors paid for the 4087-square-metre estate back in 2015, when they bought it from the filmmaker Roberto Sneider, a member of Mexico’s wealthy Oberfeld family, and writer-director Patricia Sneider.
Records reveal Tatum and Dewan, who split in 2018, sold the three-storey home to Sacramento real estate developer Glen Ghomeshi.
The home, which was photographed empty, had been vacant for some time and was marketed as a dream opportunity to either develop or redesign.
Once owned by Carrie Fisher, the property sits on a gated street in a star-studded community that A-listers such as Jessica Alba and Demi Moore also call home.
The six-bedroom, six-bathroom home has about 450 square metres of living space with a gourmet kitchen and formal living, dining and family rooms with soaring ceilings and multiple fireplaces, as well as floor-to-ceiling doors that open to multiple outdoor entertaining areas.
There is a spacious master suite and four guest bedrooms, two of which have separate access. There’s also a standalone artist studio for additional accommodation, a wood-panelled bonus room that can be used as a media room or gym, and an attached multi-car garage.
Outside there is plenty of space to entertain or relax and take in the garden view, with wraparound decks on two levels, manicured lawns, a pool and spa and a pergola lounge with a fireplace.
Rayni Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates and Laura Brau of Compass were the listing agents.
