The power couple’s fifth property, a lavish nine-bedroom mansion in Miami Beach, will be their most expensive home yet.

David and Victoria Beckham are currently buying a luxury mansion in Miami Beach for $US80 million ($AU118 million). The sale is still pending, according to The Real Deal

Last purchased by a Long Island-based real estate developer in 2018, the property was completely reworked with the help of architects Choeff Levy Fischman.

At 1166 square metres, the Miami Beach mansion is enormous.

A pool and a waterfall mark the entrance to the property, while within the doors a central courtyard pool adds a mirror-like quality to the house.

Glass, bronze and metal amplify the property’s sense of reflectiveness, and hark back to the bay beyond.

Raphael Levy, principal of Choeff Levy Fischman, notes in Mansion Global that the interior pools make “the entire house look like it’s floating”.

“The water appears to continue through the house and into the pool deck, which then continues into the bay,” the architect said.

Once the sale goes through, this will be David and Victoria Beckham’s most expensive property purchase yet.

Their extensive portfolio includes a $US37.9 million London townhouse, a £6.5 million country estate in the Cotswolds, a $US5 million apartment in Dubai’s Burj Khalifa – the tallest building in the world – and a $20 million apartment in downtown Miami.

David Beckham is the co-owner and club president of Inter Miami CF, which recently drafted Lionel Messi, so the family is likely to be spending more time in Florida in coming months.
