Actress Demi Moore has listed her Manhattan apartment for a staggering $US75 million ($96 million).

The triplex penthouse in the south tower of the San Remo building on Central Park West is being marketed as a “floating mansion”.

Moore and her former husband Bruce Willis bought the original amalgamation of two apartments in 1990 from Saturday Night Fever movie producer Robert Stigwood.

Expanded since then, the six-bedroom was being quietly offered off-market last year. The New York Times scoop reports Moore saying: “I’m spending the majority of my time in my other homes, and this apartment is too magnificent not to be lived in full time.”

Until recently Dustin Hoffman was one of the many A-listers who call the 1930-era building home, but he sold his triplex last year for $US21 million.

The penthouse in the north tower is owned by U2’s Bono, who bought it in 2003 for about $US15 million from the late Steve Jobs.

Moore’s penthouse is slightly more expensive than the three-level luxury apartment that Rupert Murdoch placed on the market last week. The media mogul is seeking $US72 million for his suite.
