Nestled between Point Piper and Rose Bay, the harbourside suburb of Bellevue Hill is the most expensive suburb in all of Australia.
In 2023, the suburb recorded a median house price of $9.17 million, with the top sale of the year coming in at a cool $76 million.
Now, a unique nine-bedroom offering has hit the market, with two separate residences up for grabs.
The two properties are attached on one wall, but otherwise are completely separate. Each has its own front door, living area, kitchen, cellar storage, and plenty of bedrooms.
“There are two residences, a five-bedroom and a four-bedroom, with city views – and they’re real city views,” said agent D’Leanne Lewis of Laing+Simmons Double Bay.
The view from the house is truly jaw-dropping: a 180-degree panorama of the Sydney skyline, with the Harbour Bridge peeking through the trees.
If outdoors is all about the views, indoors light is the name of the game, with huge French doors and windows bringing plenty of sunlight into the white, airy rooms.
According to Lewis, an offering like this is “very rare”.
“It’s great for multi-generational families,” she explained. “And because they’re also attached, you could easily combine it without having to go to council because it’s all internal. If someone wanted a big, seven-bedroom home, you’ve got that.”
So far, there has been a healthy mix of buyers interested in the property. Some are multigenerational families, some are after one big home, and others are interested in the property’s investment potential.
“We’re guiding around $16 million, $17 million,” Lewis said.
The property will go to auction in early November 2024.
